On Sunday, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav stated that the state would observe a ‘dry day’ to commemorate Shri Ram Lalla’s ‘Pran Pratishtha’ at Ram Mandir in Uttar Pradesh’s Ayodhya.

Bhopal: As the nation prepares to watch the huge ‘Pran Pratistha’ celebration at Ayodhya’s Ram Temple, the Madhya Pradesh government has decided to observe a ‘dry day’ on January 22 to commemorate the auspicious occasion.

On Sunday, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav stated that the state would observe a ‘dry day’ to commemorate Shri Ram Lalla’s ‘Pran Pratishtha’ at Ram Mandir in Uttar Pradesh’s Ayodhya.

“We decided that the 22nd of January will be a dry day throughout the state… “Shops selling any type of alcohol or any other intoxicating substance will be closed on that day,” Chief Minister Mohan Yadav told reporters.

Meanwhile, given the Pran Pratishtha ceremony, governments including as Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Uttarakhand, and Assam have already designated January 22 a “dry day.”

The Ram Temple’s ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ritual will take place on January 22. Vedic rituals for Ram Lalla’s Pran-Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya will commence a week before the major ceremony on January 16.

On January 22, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will perform rites to honor the Pran Prathishta of Ram Lalla’s statue at the big temple.

On January 22, a team of priests lead by Lakshmikant Dixit will perform the primary rituals of Ram Lalla’s Pran Prathishta.

From January 14 to January 22, Ayodhya will host the Amrit Mahotsav. Several tent towns are being built in Ayodhya to house devotees who are anticipated to come in the Uttar Pradesh temple town for the great ‘Pran Pratishtha’ celebration.
