The filmmaker, Samrat Prithviraj, once stated that the audience was correct in all of their criticisms of the Akshay Kumar film. This is what he stated.
Karan Johar recently stated in an interview that if he were to remake Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, he would make changes. This is not the first time Karan or other well-known filmmakers have admitted to making errors in their films. While Karan once discussed where he went wrong with Kalank, others, such as Imtiaz Ali and Rohit Shetty, have been candid about their big-budget mistakes.
Karan Johar on Kalank
In an interview, Karan said of Kalank’s failure, “I think the person responsible for (the failure of) Kalank is me and no one else.” I was the team’s leader; the team’s senior member; the guy who should’ve known better. I was so caught up in my own tale; I intended to do this picture 15 years ago, and it was a story very dear to my father, and he liked it so much that he went and investigated it.”
Manoj Muntashir on Adipurush
Adipurush dialogue writer Manoj Muntashir, who was widely chastised for the film’s colloquial language, said that he made a “100 percent mistake” with the dialect utilized. “I am not such a self-conscious person that I would defend my writing abilities by claiming that I have written well.” It’s a complete blunder. Yes, I made a huge blunder. But there was no malice behind the blunder. “I had absolutely no intention of hurting the religion and causing trouble to Sanatan, or defaming Lord Ram, or saying anything about Hanuman ji that isn’t there,” he told Aaj Tak, adding that he will learn from his mistakes.
Rohit Shetty admitted that he made a mistake with Cirkus.
Rohit Shetty recently discussed his most recent picture, Cirkus, which flopped at the box office. Rohit stated on Koffee With Karan that “Rohit Shetty failed as a director.” Yes, we messed up, and the film was made during the pandemic. It was created prior to the release of Sooryavanshi. As a filmmaker, I made a mistake with that film. And thank goodness I messed up on a tiny film rather than a major one. I was shooting my web series three days later.”
Imtiaz Ali on the failure of Love Aaj Kal 2.
During the Stumble podcast with Roshan Abbas, Imtiaz Ali stated that Love Aaj Kal 2 had a “great” story, but its box office collection indicated that everything was “problematic” with the picture. “The fractured way in which the young people live has something very nice about it.” “It didn’t express itself (the film),” he stated.
According to Samrat Prithviraj, the crowd was correct.
Samrat Prithviraj, starring Akshay Kumar and Manushi Chhillar, was a surprise disappointment. Director Chandraprakash Dwivedi told Mukesh Khanna on his YouTube channel that most of the issues expressed by the public and reviewers were correct. “They were upset with how Akshay appeared in the film. One of the criticisms was that the woman was significantly younger, whereas Akshay, who was 55 at the time, was playing a 26-year-old monarch. Then there was the question regarding his moustache, specifically why he didn’t have a real moustache. They also claimed that his body was nothing like Prithviraj’s. Today, I have to admit that the majority of these criticisms were correct.”
“In this film, different people played different roles and had different responsibilities.” I was the weakest link in the chain. If everyone had done their jobs, this question would not have arisen.” He stated.
