The 10th edition of the ‘Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit’ is due to begin on Wednesday in Ahmedabad, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi officiating. This year’s summit also celebrates ’20 Years of Vibrant Gujarat as the Summit of Success’.
The Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, which Modi, then the Gujarat chief minister, envisioned in 2003, has “transformed into a highly esteemed global platform,” according to a release from the Prime Minister’s Office. It is a well-known forum for developing business connections, exchanging expertise, and forging strategic collaborations, all with the goal of promoting inclusive growth and long-term development.
Inauguration
PM Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024 at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar on Wednesday, around 9.45 a.m. Following this, he will hold conversations with CEOs of major global firms. Later in the day, around 5.15 p.m., the prime minister will travel to GIFT City to meet with prominent business leaders at the Global FinTech Leadership Forum.
What can we expect from the summit’s tenth edition ?
-The ’20 Years of Vibrant Gujarat’ celebration program showcases Gujarat’s success from attracting investments in 2003 to aiming for global leadership by 2024. There will be curtain raiser events in both New Delhi and Mumbai.
-With 34 partner countries and 16 partner organizations, this year’s Summit is expected to draw a large worldwide audience. Furthermore, the North-Eastern Region Ministry of Development intends to use the platform to highlight investment opportunities in the region.
-The summit will include a variety of events, including seminars and conferences on globally relevant topics such as Industry 4.0, Technology, Sustainable Manufacturing, Green Hydrogen, Electric Mobility, Renewable Energy, and the Path to Sustainability.

The trade expo is open to the general public for two days, Wednesday and Thursday, followed by two days for business interaction. Australia, Tanzania, Morocco, Mozambique, South Korea, Thailand, Estonia, Bangladesh, Singapore, UAE, UK, Germany, Norway, Finland, Netherlands, Russia, Rwanda, Japan, Indonesia, and Vietnam are among the countries presenting their different industries.
With 1,000 exhibitors concentrating on research, the expo spans 13 rooms, each dedicated to a particular topic such as ‘Make in Gujarat’ and ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’.
Women’s empowerment, MSME growth, innovative technology, green and smart infrastructure, and sustainable energy are all highlighted in the event.
The design of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) involves a modified Su-30 MKI aircraft capable of incorporating indigenous air-to-ground BrahMos missiles weighing 2500 kg and with a range of over 300 kilometers. HAL has built 220 Su-30 MKI planes and overhauled 100 Su-30 MKI planes. During the Vibrant Gujarat conference, HAL’s Prachand Light Combat Helicopter (LCH) will also be on static exhibit.
