The trailer for Animal, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, and Anil Kapoor, was released on Thursday. The teaser for the year’s most anticipated film drew a positive response from netizens, with numerous parts in particular being commended for Ranbir’s powerful acting. One of the sequences in which Ranbir interacts with his on-screen father Anil Kapoor drew a lot of attention on social media, and one netizen dubbed Ranbir the ‘greatest actor’ for it. In the scene, Ranbir urges his father to pretend to be him when he was younger, begging for permission to attend a Michael Jackson event. When Anil, as a younger Ranbir, says, ”Papa, papa, papa,” Ranbir exclaims, ”Sunai de raha hai behra nahi hun main (I can hear, I’m not deaf).”
Anil Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna feature in the pan-India film directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga of Arjun Reddy and Kabir Singh fame. The plot concentrates around a father and son and their strained relationship. It is set against the backdrop of horrific underworld brutality.
Animal will be released on December 1 in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam by Kumar and Krishan Kumar’s T-Series, Murad Khetani’s Cine1 Studios, and Pranay Reddy Vanga’s Bhadrakali Pictures.
The Central Board for picture Certification (CBFC) awarded the picture a ‘A’ certificate, despite its running time of more than 3 hours, 21 minutes, and 23 seconds.
