While speaking with Aaj Tak, director Anil Sharma stated that this is not a true incident, but rather a part of the filming process. Nana Patekar did not smack anyone, rather he was simply filming the scene. ‘The sequences in the film were shot on the streets of Banaras,’ Anil Sharma added. In which the actor was forced to slap someone. However, several individuals were present at the moment, and this aspect of the shooting was documented on film. Nana Patekar is being unfairly chastised on social media. But the fact is rather different.’
Nana Patekar was most recently seen in Vivek Agnihotri’s film The Vaccine War. However, the film was not well received.
