After questioning him during a day-long raid at his apartment, the Enforcement Directorate arrested AAP MP Sanjay Singh.

According to BJP national spokesperson Sambit Patra, the Enforcement Directorate discovered “incriminating documents” at Singh’s apartment. Without naming anyone, Patra stated that the records will “incriminate someone at the top of the AAP hierarchy.”

The arrest of Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Singh in a money laundering case tied to the now-cancelled Delhi excise policy has sparked a political brawl, with the Bharatiya Janata Party saying that the inquiry will soon reach AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal’s doorstep.

Patra stated during a news conference in Bhubaneswar that “it is the nature of the AAP to commit scams openly and do politics after getting caught.”

He asserted that the records taken from Sanjay Singh’s home will implicate someone at the top of the AAP structure, according to media reports.

Manoj Tiwari, a former leader of the Delhi BJP and current member of the Lok Sabha, stated during a news conference on Wednesday that he had never before witnessed “criminals” holding political power.

“Even though Sanjay Singh was detained today, Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh’s attention will soon be diverted. Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister, would soon be informed about the current investigation, according to Tiwari.

The Aam Aadmi Party criticized the detention as political revenge and claimed that Singh was being punished for being one of the opposition INDIA bloc’s most strident speakers.

“Are BJP and Manoj Tiwari in charge of the ED and CBI? This demonstrates that there is a plot against us, according to Reena Gupta, an AAP spokesperson.

Sandeep Pathak, an AAP member of Rajya Sabha, stated that the arrest was made “primarily because they (BJP) have found that it’s very difficult to defeat Arvind Kejriwal”

“It’s been 15 months, and despite thousands of raids, nothing has surfaced. Nothing will be revealed in this instance either. They merely seek to dismantle the Aam Aadmi Party.

AAP leader Dilip Pandey claimed that after a day-long search turned up nothing, the ED arrested Sanjay Singh.

In the future elections, “people will respond appropriately to the BJP,” he continued.

“People will give a befitting reply to BJP in upcoming elections,” he stated.
