Today’s earthquake in Delhi: On Tuesday, a powerful 6.2-magnitude earthquake rattled the Delhi-National Capital Region.
Parts of the Delhi-National Capital Region experienced strong earthquake tremors on Tuesday.
According to preliminary estimates from the National Center for Seismology, the earthquake’s depth is 5 km and its magnitude is 6.2.
A 6.2-magnitude earthquake hit west Nepal. 200 kilometers to the southeast of Joshimath. Since it is shallow, north India has seen significant shocks. The Himalayan terrain is full of flaws. Tectonically, it is an extremely active zone. JL Gautam, office head for the National Center for Seismology, stated that we are investigating which faults are implicated.
Residents fled their homes in a panic after the earthquake, which lasted more than 40 seconds.
