Yogi Adityanath issued a warning to molesters following an incident in Ambedkar Nagar in which a girl fell off her bike after her dupatta was ripped off by two men and died after being ran over by another motorbike.

Lucknow : Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that if anyone commits a crime like harassing women in the state, ‘Yamraj’ (God of Death) will be waiting for him, referring to the Ambedkar Nagar incident in which a girl fell off her bike after her dupatta was pulled off by two men and then died after being run over by another motorbike.

Yogi emphasized the need of a strong legal system in maintaining law and order, emphasizing that no one will be permitted to abuse the law in order to disturb the system. On Sunday evening, he spoke at a gathering in Gorakhpur. The terrible crime occurred on Saturday, and the three suspects were apprehended hours later. According to authorities, two of the accused were shot and one suffered a leg fracture while attempting to run from detention on Sunday.

The ruling BJP in Uttar Pradesh has frequently cited the Yogi Adityanath government’s handling of law and order as one of its accomplishments. The victim, a class 11 student, and another girl are seen on their bicycles when a speeding bike approaches from behind and the pillion rider pulls her dupatta as they pass her.

“The three accused jumped from the vehicle, snatched a police rifle, and fired at our team,” Ambedkar Nagar Superintendent of Police Ajit Sinha said. In retaliatory firing, two of them were hit in the legs with bullets, while the third suffered a leg fracture. The three have been admitted to the hospital for treatment.”

Shahwaz and his brother Arbaz, who pulled the dupatta, were recognized as the culprits. Faisal, the third accused, ran over the girl. According to police, it is yet unknown whether the accused brothers have any link to Faisal. The suspects have been charged with murder and assault to outrage a woman’s modesty under the Indian Penal Code, as well as under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
