The Union Government intends to build a Tech Museum in Delhi to highlight India’s emerging and future innovations.

According to official documents, the Union government intends to establish a ‘Tech Museum’ in the national capital to highlight India’s developing and future technology.

The state-of-the-art museum at the Nav Bharat Udyan, which is being built on the western banks of the Yamuna river, will be planned, designed, and developed, according to a request for proposals issued by the CPWD, the top construction agency of the Centre.

The ‘Tech Museum’ will be a premium exhibition space dedicated to giving visitors a better understanding of the most recent technology being used by India and inspiring pride in them regarding the accomplishments of the country in a variety of disciplines, according to the documents.

According to the documents, in order to give visitors a seamless and immersive experience, the exhibits must be presented using futuristic, cutting-edge, or novel technologies like 3-D mapping, touch-enabled displays, holograms, AV projection, multi-touch interactive tables, touch kiosks, QR Code information, and LED projection walls in addition to contemporary acoustics.

The request for proposals (REP) document from the CPWD stated, “It is intended for the Tech Dome to be a technological marvel being not dependent on any specific technology but utilising the most effective tools of communications befitting an environment of exhibition.”

It stated that the chosen consultants will be responsible with building the technology museum, developing content based on approved themes, and implementing futuristic technologies to show the content in order to provide visitors a top-notch experience.’

The government’s Central Vista rehabilitation project includes the construction of the Nav Bharat Udyan on the western bank of the Yamuna.

Rashtrapati Bhavan and India Gate are both located along the Central Vista. The Central Vista Axis will be visually integrated according to the Master Plan from the current 2.9 km to 6.3 km from the ridge to the river.

The Central Government has proposed to build the Nav Bharat Udyan on a 30-acre plot of land at the end of the Central Vista’s virtual axis on the western bank of the river. The Nav Bharat Udyan will soon house the Technology Museum.

The REP will open on October 6 and offers must be submitted by that date in order to be considered.
