In the Jawan trailer, Shah Rukh Khan says, “Bete ko haath lagane se pahle, baap se baat kar,” which is a meta reference that caught everyone’s attention.

Pathaan, a movie by Shah Rukh Khan that came out earlier this year, was rife with allusions to his religious identity and patriotism. This action thriller may not be any different, according to the Atlee’s Jawan trailer, which debuted on Thursday. One dialogue’s meta reference to the Aryan Khan detention case has garnered a lot of attention online. Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘baap’ dialogue

According to rumors, the plot of Jawan centers on a father-son relationship, with Shah Rukh playing a dual role. In the trailer, Shah Rukh’s father role can be heard saying, “Deal with the father before you touch the son” (Bete ko haath lagane se pahle, baap se baat kar).

The internet immediately compared this to Shah Rukh’s real life, where his son Aryan Khan was detained for narcotics use in 2021. Since it was a non-bailable offense, the investigation went on for weeks before he was granted bail. Later, Aryan received a clean bill of health after Sameer Wankhede, the case’s investigating officer, was charged with soliciting bribes from Shah Rukh.

Reactions to the ‘baap’ dialogue

“Bete ko haath lagane se pahle, baap se baat kar,” a user of X (previously Twitter), commented, “This debate is personal. If you know, then you know… #JawanTrailer”

This can’t be a coincidence, right? a commenter wrote. Gauri’s credit shows on the screen just as #ShahRukhKhan says, “bete ko haath lagaane se pehle, baap se baat kar.” veiled warning to…some people?

Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, Sunil Grover, Ridhi Dogra, and Priyamani are among the other actors who appear in Atlee’s Jawan. Deepika Padukone makes a special appearance in it, and Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment is behind its production. On September 7, the movie will be available in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
