4 August 2023 ( New Delhi) : The spacecraft has covered about two-thirds of the distance to the moon and the LOI has been fixed on August 5 around 7 pm,” ISRO said on Friday.Chandrayaan-3 has covered about two-thirds of the distance. That is, about 66% of the moon’s journey has been completed by the spacecraft. Now it will enter the Moon’s orbit on August 5 at around 7 pm. ISRO gave this information on Friday. And on August 23, the vehicle will land on the moon.
Chandrayaan-3’s launch on July 14 will complete 22 days on Saturday and 17 crucial days are left before ISRO attempts to soft-land Vikram (lander). Several scientists the space agency TOI spoke to in the past month are confident of a successful LOI, given that it has been achieved twice earlier in 2019 (Chandrayaan-2) and 2008 (Chandrayaan-1) .According to Union Minister Jitendra Singh: “The key to successful soft-landing
Hypothesis for future landing missions and planetary exploration. It has been used as a precursor to other technological advances. However, the success of this mission depended on a critical step – entry into lunar orbit, a carefully planned maneuver that decelerated the spacecraft, allowing the Moon’s gravitational field to pull it into a stable lunar orbit, gets permission.
