The World ODI Cup roster for Team India has been released. At 1:30 PM Indian time, BCCI Chief Selector Ajit Agarkar released the names of the team’s 15 players. Ajit Agarkar and team captain Rohit Sharma both attended the press conference in Kandy, Sri Lanka.
Starting on October 5, India will host the ODI World Cup. India’s opening game will take place on October 8 at Chennai’s Chepauk venue versus Australia.

Out of the 18 players who were announced for the Asia Cup, only 15 were chosen.
15 of the 18 members of the Indian team that were chosen for the World Cup roster were also chosen for the Asia Cup, which is presently taking place in Sri Lanka. The members of the Asia Cup team Tilak Verma, Prasidh Krishna, and Sanju Samson were not able to secure spots in the World Cup squad. Yuzvendra Chahal does not have a chance to make the team either.
Match between India and Pakistan on October 14
The World Cup match between India and Pakistan will take place at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium on October 14. On October 8 in Chennai, India will face Australia in their World Cup opener.
The World Cup will include 48 matches.
In October and November, India will host the 46-day ODI World Cup, which will feature 48 games. The opening game will take place on October 5 in Ahmedabad between England and New Zealand, who finished first and second respectively in the previous World Cup. There will be 45 group stage games played through November 12th. On November 15 and 16, there will be two semi-final matches, and on November 19, Ahmedabad will host the championship match.
