Jaipur, February 12 – Popular YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner Elvish Yadav has found himself embroiled in controversy yet again. An FIR has been registered against him for allegedly sharing a misleading video in which he claimed to be receiving an official police escort in Jaipur. The Rajasthan Police has strongly denied these claims, stating that no such security arrangement was made for him.

FIR Filed Against Elvish Yadav
According to reports, the case has been filed at the Cyber Police Station in Jaipur under charges of disseminating false information that damages the reputation of the Rajasthan Police. The viral video, originally shared by Elvish Yadav on his social media handles on February 10, shows him traveling in a vehicle driven by Krishnavardhan, the son of former Rajasthan minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas.
In the video, a police vehicle can be seen following Elvish Yadav’s car, with the YouTuber claiming that it was escorting them. Krishnavardhan further asserted that the police escort would change as they passed through different jurisdictions. However, the Jaipur Police have dismissed these claims, confirming that no official security was provided to Yadav.
Police’s Reaction to the Video
Jaipur Police Commissioner Biju George Joseph has rubbished the claims made in the video and confirmed that an FIR has been registered against Elvish Yadav for spreading false information. Additional Commissioner of Police Rameshwar Singh reiterated that police security is provided only under established protocols and that the content creator did not receive any such security clearance.
“The video falsely portrays the Rajasthan Police as providing security to an individual without any official approval. This misrepresentation is misleading and damages the credibility of the police force,” stated a senior official.

Former Minister Distances Himself from Controversy
Meanwhile, former Rajasthan minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas has distanced himself from the controversy. He clarified that neither he nor his son had requested police security for Elvish Yadav. Speaking to the media, he said, “Elvish Yadav has visited me several times, as many others do. As a politician, I meet a variety of people. However, my government is not in power, and I have no knowledge of who arranged for the police vehicle or why it was there.”
Khachariyawas also urged both Elvish Yadav and the Rajasthan government to provide a clear explanation regarding the incident.
Investigation Underway
Following the FIR, the Rajasthan Police have initiated an investigation to determine the origin and authenticity of the claims made in the video. Officials are also looking into whether any unauthorized use of police vehicles occurred during the filming of Elvish Yadav’s music video in Sambhar on February 8.
As of now, no official statement has been released by Elvish Yadav regarding the allegations. His followers and fans are keenly awaiting his response to the controversy.

Legal Implications
If found guilty of spreading false information and tarnishing the image of a government institution, Elvish Yadav could face legal consequences under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Information Technology (IT) Act.
This incident highlights the growing concerns regarding misinformation on social media, where influencers and content creators have significant power to shape public perception. Authorities are urging social media users to verify information before sharing it online to avoid misleading the public.
Conclusion
As the investigation unfolds, the controversy surrounding Elvish Yadav’s alleged police escort in Jaipur continues to draw attention. Whether this was an intentional act of deception or a misunderstanding remains to be seen. However, this incident serves as a cautionary tale about the responsibilities that come with social media influence and the importance of fact-checking before making public claims.
