Before the meeting in Mumbai on Thursday and Friday, Mamata Banerjee claimed that the government will only have to lower LPG prices after two INDIA sessions.

The 26 participants of the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance will meet in Mumbai on Thursday and Friday — the bloc’s third meeting after Patna and Bengaluru — to strategies for the Lok Sabha election 2024. Just ahead of the Mumbai meeting, the government slashed the LPG price by ₹200 per cylinder. “Till now, only TWO meetings have been held in the past TWO months by the INDIA alliance and today, we see that LPG prices have gone down by ₹200. This is the power of INDIA,” West Bengal chief minister and a key INDIA leader said.

INDIA 3rd meeting in Mumbai: Logo, seat-sharing on agenda

  1. The summit will take place at the Grand Hyatt, a five-star hotel in a Mumbai suburb. The earlier gatherings took place in Patna and Bengaluru.
  2. Lalu Prasad Yadav, the leader of the RJD, and Tejashwi Yadav, the deputy chief minister of Bihar, have already arrived in Mumbai.
  3. Following a no-confidence motion against the PM Modi-led NDA government in Parliament over the Manipur issue, the opposition bloc called for this meeting. The motion was won by NDA.
  4. One of the most important topics on the agenda this time is seat sharing in the states.
  5. After the two-day meeting, the INDIA group is set to unveil a new logo.
  6. The addition of a few more parties will also be explored, and Nitish Kumar, the chief minister of Bihar, made a suggestion that the opposition’s coalition might grow.
  7. Since Congress leader PL Punia stated that the Prime Minister will only be picked after the opposition secures a victory in the Lok Sabha election, there is unlikely to be any discussion over the PM face for the INDIA bloc. The PM will be selected by the elected MPs.
  8. Rahul Gandhi will be congratulated by the Mumbai Congress on being re-elected as an MP.
  9. According to Nana Patole, the state Congress leader, there is no battle for seats in Maharashtra. “Seats at MVA are not up for grabs. Even Uddhav Thackeray has made it clear that seat distribution will be based on merit. The Modi administration must be overthrown, according to Nana Patole.
  10. It should be noted that a number of Congress leaders, including the chief ministers of Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan, Bhupesh Baghel and Ashok Gehlot, supported Rahul Gandhi as the INDIA bloc’s nominee for prime minister. The BJP attacked the Congress over this, claiming that despite the fact that the position of prime minister will not be open in 2024, the Congress still thinks Rahul Gandhi is superior to Mamata, Sharad Pawar, Nitish, and Arvind Kejriwal, all of whom have held or are now holding the position.
