New Delhi: The popular YouTuber and influencer Ranveer Allahbadia was the target of a cyberattack, which caused Beer Biceps, one of his channels, to be hijacked and rebranded as “Tesla”. Every video that was accessible on both channels was removed. Days have passed since the YouTube channel of the Indian Supreme Court was hacked.
All interviews and podcasts from both channels have been removed and replaced with older feeds of Elon Musk and Donald Trump events.The viewers were greeted by a misleading livestream showing an AI-generated Elon Musk avatar inviting them to invest in cryptocurrencies with the false promise of double their returns. The avatar instructed visitors to scan a QR code and deposit Bitcoin or Ethereum on a fraudulent website called elonweb.net.
One of Ranveer’s channels, Beer Biceps, was renamed “@Elon.trump.tesla_live2024,” and his personal channel became “@Tesla.event.trump_2024.”
Ranveer Allahbadia controls seven YouTube channels, with a total audience of almost 12 million followers.
Ranveer Allahbadia has not yet issued an official remark. The hackers have removed both channels.
