On Thursday night, candidates began arriving at the exam center to take the recruiting exam for constables. When candidates who traveled long distances to take the exam found themselves without a seat in the train, they went to the restroom.
Since late at night, candidates have been showing up for the police recruitment exam, which is being held at 19 centers in the Sultanpur area. Some took the train, while others used buses to get around. The trains were packed when they arrived at night. Upon being denied a seat in the carriage, a few hopefuls took to the train’s restroom, where they stood the entire time. They slept on the platform itself when they were unable to find lodging. Some pupils were observed studying on the platform itself at the same time. At the bus station, the identical scene was observed.
In the hallway, including the passenger room, people were discovered lying on sheets and paper. The candidates set out on foot for the examination centers well before sunrise. Since early in the morning, a sizable throng of hopefuls had gathered at the testing locations. The main gate of the security centers is manned by a sizable contingent of police officers. Drones assist in the surveillance of suspects. As the candidates arrived at the centers, they were examined. They rerouted traffic around the centers.
The recruitment process for over 60,000 constable positions has been launched by the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPPRB). The exam will begin on Friday, August 23, and go through August 31. There are two shifts for this test. 10:00 am to 12:00 pm will be the first shift, and 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm will be the second. Candidates arrived at the examination site one day before to the August 23 paper deadline. A stationary magistrate kept an eye on the candidates as they entered the testing facility.
Every testing facility has been equipped with stationary magistrates. Candidates are being checked in and then allowed to enter the center under their supervision. At the center itself, biometric and Aadhar e-KYC services are available. Only until all the formalities had been completed could one enter the center.
Inspectors of rooms also had to return their cellphones.
Only the magistrate and the center administrator are permitted to bring cell phones or other electronic devices to the police recruiting exam. Only after leaving their cell phones behind did the room inspectors report for duties inside the center. Additionally, the room inspectors were examined.
