You may want to rethink your belief that electric cars represent the pinnacle of automotive development. Consider carefully. And now see this truly vintage 1913 Waverly Model 93 EV, which is entirely electric. Indeed, it is older than the Titanic, but it hasn’t sunk yet. Conversely, it can still be moved. Additionally, it will be available for sale at an August auction.

The Waverly Model 93 EV is a throwback to an era when automobiles were still considered a luxury option available only to the most affluent. This car’s retro style and worn-out look instantly convey that it is an electric vehicle that has withstood the test of time.
Mecum Auctions will be conducting an auction for the Waverly Model 93 EV in the United States. Also, the listing states that the EV was first bought by Ann Peace Rawls of Virginia, although it makes no reference of the auction date or estimated price. Additionally, it was held by her family for nearly a century before being bought in 2002.

This Model 93 was ultimately, and gradually, outfitted with an integrated battery charger that enabled it to plug into a 120-volt outlet, even though it was still operable when it was bought a second time. Many of the mechanical and electrical systems were also either replaced or refurbished, according to the sale description. There is still 130–160 kilometers of travel left in this Model 93.
The Model 93 will be up for auction with its original title and owner’s handbook, according to the auction listing. The EV has a carriage-like body with electric headlights, a rear trunk, a removable top, a frunk, and a leaf-spring suspension system, all while maintaining its vintage appeals.

Talking of the inside, the Model 93 has retractable side windows and a two-seater sofa-like design.

It seems unlikely that the Model 93’s future owner will drive it as fast as possible, even though it is still drivable. Rather, it’s a carefully cared-for century-old machine that will probably be placed centrally in any garage, its very presence adding to the allure.
