In Nagpur, there has been a notable occurrence near Venkatesnagar Chowk. Here, a young driver ran over five people. A couple and a vegetable and fruit seller are among the injured. The driver of the car was beaten up by citizens.
‘Hit and run’ incidents persist all through Maharashtra. The Porsche incident in Pune, where another case resembling it has surfaced, is fresh in the minds of people. Recently, a traffic accident in Nagpur that involved a car traveling at a fast pace came to light. Under the authority of Nandanvan Police Station, a youngster was operating an automobile close to KDK College at Venkatesanagar Chowk. The black Skoda suddenly lost control. The uncontrolled vehicle struck a few two-wheelers that were parked on the side of the road before crashing into a group of fruit and vegetable vendors as well as several onlookers. The seriously injured vehicle struck a tree by the side of the road before coming to a rest.
Five persons were hurt, including merchants of fruits and vegetables. Two is still in a critical state. Several automobiles were wrecked. The young man was flung out of the automobile and onto the road by the angry throng. He was nearly dead from the brutal beating he received at the hands of the unruly mob. The teenager begged for help from others. Later, a few individuals helped the accused youngster escape from the crowd and gave him to the police.
The youngster and the owner of the car, Mangesh Gomashe, were reportedly taken into jail by the police. Gomashe belongs to a political party. The young person working at the garage had received the keys from Gomashe. Actually, the owner of the minor asked him to park the car on the road at a distance. Mahesh Gonade, the owner of the garage, has also been detained by the police for making the child drive the vehicle.
