Bangladesh pull off a major upset in the current tournament when they defeated Sri Lanka by two wickets in the fifteenth match of the T20 World Cup 2024, which is being hosted by the USA and West Indies. Without opening the account, Mathisha Pathirana and Nuwan Thushara remained to be unbeaten. Mustafizur Rahman and Rishad Hussain each claimed three wickets for Bangladesh, while Taskin Ahmed claimed two and Tanjim Hasan Sakib claimed one.
