An engagement between DRG soldiers and Naxalites on the border between Narayanpur and Dantewada is believed to have resulted in the loss of life of five Naxalites and the injuries of three soldiers.
A clash between District Reserve Group (DRG) jawans and Naxalites occurred in the border region of Narayanpur-Dantewada. Seven Naxalites have perished in the uprising thus far. Weapons have been discovered by the jawans. There is a search operation on nearby.
SP Narayanpur According to Prabhat Kumar, on June 6th, in the border area of District Narayanpur, Dantewada, Kondagaon, an inter-district mixed operation was initiated against the Naxalites in the village of Mungedi, Gobel area under the East Bastar Division. On June 7, there were sporadic confrontations between the Maoists and the police party in the Gobel region forest throughout the day.
The coordinated inter-district Naxal operation has resulted in the deaths of five uniformed Naxalites. All of the fallen Naxalites’ bodies have been found. Additionally, there is information on numerous Naxalites suffering wounds. There have also been three wounds to Narayanpur DRG jawans. One injured jawan is doing well and is not in any danger. The forces of 45th Battalion ITBP and DRG of Districts Narayanpur, Kondagaon, Dantewada, and Jagdalpur take part in the joint operation. There is a search operation on nearby.
