The India Meteorological Department states that hot winds are moving in various parts of Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, and North West Madhya Pradesh during the past 24 hours. Massive dust storms in certain parts of Madhya Pradesh.

For the next five days, there may be heat waves in several areas of the country’s east, including Uttar Pradesh and northern Madhya Pradesh. Conversely, the intense heat in Odisha has claimed the lives of 36 people thus far. In the Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir’s mountains, there was snowfall and rain on Wednesday. The nation’s capital and a few neighboring locations had light rain. For the next two days, there is a chance of rain and thunderstorms in some parts of North West India after the intense heat. There can be a lot of rain in particular areas.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) reports that throughout the past 24 hours, hot winds have blown across several regions of Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, and North West Madhya Pradesh. There were dust storms in certain parts of Madhya Pradesh. Most of the plains in North West India and adjacent Central India recorded maximum temperatures between 43 and 46 degrees Celsius during this period, which was 2-4 degrees higher than average. The greatest temperature of 46.8 degrees Celsius was recorded in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, during this period. In addition, there were also cases of extremely heavy rain in Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, West Bengal, and other sub-Himalayan regions.

Different locations in the northeastern states of Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura saw torrential rains. Particular areas in central Maharashtra, northern interior Karnataka, Rayalaseema, and coastal Andhra Pradesh also reported experiencing rainfall. Hailstorms happened concurrently in various parts of western Madhya Pradesh and Uttarakhand. The maximum temperatures over eastern India might boost by two to three degrees Celsius during the next two days, according to IMD.

On Wednesday, there was a lot of snowfall on the peaks of Lahaul-Spiti and Chamba, causing a yellow alert in different parts of Himachal Pradesh. Numerous parts of Shimla as well as a few state districts, including Kinnaur, Kullu, Chamba, Solan, and Kangra, received heavy rainfall. There was a significant hailstorm in the districts of Dalash in Kullu, Palampur, and Baijnath in Kangra. The state’s weather has altered, giving some respite from the heat. But in the plain districts, the humidity has gone up following the rain. Mandi experienced a heat wave because of the daytime sunshine.

On Wednesday evening at 5:30 p.m., heavy rain and strong winds brought relief to Jammuites who were suffering from extreme heat with temperatures above forty degrees for the past four weeks. The weather in other parts of Jammu and Kashmir has also changed due to rain, hail, and dust storms; Katra-Sanjhi Chhat chopper service was adversely affected by the bad weather, and in Kashmir, the change in weather brought a sense of coolness.

The Meteorological Department has issued a heat wave and high heat at night warning for the following five days for the areas that include the majority of Odisha, Northeast Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, and Bihar. There might be a heat wave in certain regions through June 9. From June 6 to June 9, there could be heat waves across various sections of Uttar Pradesh. Even at night, there will still be heat and humidity.

Odisha has been experiencing extreme heat, and as a result of heat waves and other heat-related ailments, 36 people have passed away in the state thus far. There have been 151 confirmed deaths from heat-related ailments, according to a government statement released on Wednesday. Of these, 31 deaths had no connection to heat waves, whereas 36 deaths had heat wave-related causes proven. Awaiting reports on eighty-four cases.
