16 August 2023 ( New Delhi ) : Bittu Bajrangi, a member of the Bajrang Dal, was taken into custody by the police on Tuesday at his Faridabad home. Bittu Bajrangi was detained in relation to the violence that began on July 31 in Haryana’s Nuh district. Six individuals, including two Haryana Home Guards, were killed in the Nuh rioting, which also spilled to adjacent Gurugram.
Following a police investigation into the Nuh violence charges, Bittu Bajrangi was arrested. According to sources, Bittu Bajrangi is charged with publishing a number of provocative remarks on social media before the ‘Brij Mandal Yatra’ got underway. The Indian Penal Code (IPC) was used by the police to file cases against him at the Nuh police station.
“After being questioned, Bittu Bajrangi was taken into custody by the Nuh Police. In Thana Sadar Nuh, a complaint was filed under the Illegal Arms Act and sections 148/149/332/353/186/395/397/506 of the IPC against Bittu Bajrangi and around 15 other people. With weapons like swords, Bittu Bajrangi and around 15 other individuals shouted slogans in front of a female police officer in Nuh, according to a Faridabad Police spokesperson.
Furthermore, the issue is still delicate because lately, a number of “Hindu outfits” convened a “Mahapanchayat” in Palwal, Haryana, calling for a relaxation of the laws governing the possession of weapons by Hindus. The ‘Mahapanchayat’ also revealed that the ‘Brij Mandal Yatra’ will start up again in the Nuh district on August 28.
