On Tuesday, two Madhya Pradesh engineers, Ashwini Kosta of Jabalpur and Anish Awadhiya of Umaria, were laid to rest after being slain in a hit-and-run accident in Pune. The bodies of the 25-year-old engineers reached home late Monday evening, leaving relatives disappointed.

The accident happened on May 18 around 2:15 a.m. Ashwini and Anish were riding their bike toward a restaurant when they were hit by a high-speed Porsche near Kalyani Nagar. Both engineers passed away in the spot. The car was driven by a youngster, the son of a Pune-based builder, who was apparently drunk.

The court (Juvenile Justice Board) issued the youngster bail within 15 hours after the accident and asked him to write an essay about traffic accidents. Meanwhile, on Tuesday morning, police imprisoned the child’s father, builder Vishal Agarwal, in Sambhajinagar. The bar owner and manager, where the kid consumed alcohol, were also arrested.
