Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena has taken major action against Delhi Women Commission workers. On Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena’s directives, 223 Delhi Women Commission employees have been fired immediately. Swati Maliwal, the then-chairperson of the Delhi Women Commission, is accused of appointing her without permission, which violated the norms.
The Lieutenant Governor’s order cites the DCW Act. It has been stated that just 40 positions are sanctioned in the Commission. DCW lacks the authority to hire personnel on contract.
According to the order issued by the increased Director of the Delhi Women Commission Department, no appraisal of the necessary roles was conducted prior to the new appointments, and no approval was granted for increased financial burden.
Let us inform you that Swati Maliwal, the former chairman of the Delhi Women Commission, is a Rajya Sabha MP for the Aam Aadmi Party. He resigned from his position on January 5, this year.
