Regarding the rising temperatures and extreme temperatures, the Indian Meteorological Department reports that a heat wave is currently wreaking havoc in India. The weather will be like this for the next few days.
Life for people are becoming more challenging as the country experiences increased heat and waves. The temperature has reached 40 degrees Celsius or more. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert in Odisha and West Bengal due to the heat wave. An orange alert has been issued for Bihar and Jharkhand. Scientists predict that the heat wave is going to last many days.

The Meteorological Department predicts that hot and humid weather will cause daily maximum temperatures in Bengal and Odisha to rise even further. At the same time, the heat wave will cause significant problems for many people. Regarding the growing heat and heatwave, Soma Sen Roy, senior scientist at the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), stated, “Odisha is also suffering worsening circumstances due to the heat wave. Similar conditions will continue for a few days. Consequently, a red alert has been issued.
At these locations, the temperature reached above 40 degrees Celsius.
Many regions have temperatures higher than 40 degrees Celsius. On Saturday, Panagarh in Paschim Bardhaman district recorded West Bengal’s highest temperature of 44.6 degrees Celsius, while Kolkata recorded the highest temperature of the day of 41.1 degrees Celsius. Not only that, but it’s 43.5 degrees Celsius in Medinipur, 43.2 in Bankura, 43.2 in Barrackpur, 43 in Bardhaman, 42.5 in Asansol, 42.7 in Purulia, and 42 in Sriniketan.
