Hospitals and restaurants in Noida and Greater Noida have joined forces to encourage people to cast ballots in the Lok Sabha election on April 26. Voters can receive free full-body exams and discounts of up to 20% on food expenses.

Led by the National Restaurants Association of India (NRAI), around two dozen restaurants have joined in as of Wednesday. This initiative aims to inspire citizens to vote in the Gautam Buddh Nagar constituency.

How to get your discount is as follows: 2 actions
• All you have to do is present your finger that has been imprinted at the participating restaurants on April 26 and 27.

• Your inked finger serves as sufficient identification; no more ID is required to receive the “Democracy Discount.”

How to get a free health checkup?
Felix Hospitals in Noida’s Sector 137 announced the “Vote for Healthy India” initiative, which offers voters a 100% discount on full-body check-ups.

To get the free check-up worth ₹6,500, eligible citizens must present their voting ink mark. Dr D K Gupta, CEO and chairman of Felix Hospitals, announced the offer, which will run from April 26 to 30.

Gautam Buddh Nagar struggled with low voter turnout.
Gautam Buddh Nagar, including Noida and Greater Noida, will go to the elections on April 26 in the Lok Sabha’s second phase, with over 26 lakh registered voters.

In previous elections, the turnout was 60.47 percent in 2019, 60.38 percent in 2014, and a low of 48 percent in 2009. According to Election Commission data, the constituency usually trails behind the national average, with 67.40 percent in 2019, 66 percent in 2014, and 58% in 2009.
