Patanjali Ayurveda co-founders Yoga guru Ramdev and Balkrishna delivered a second public apologies in newspapers on Wednesday, April 24, a day after the Supreme Court, while hearing a contempt case, asked them if the apology was the same size as the advertisements.
“In wake of a on going matter before the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, we in our individual capacity as well as on behalf of the Company, unconditionally apologise for the non-compliance or disobedience of directions/orders of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India,” Patanjali said in her most recent public apology.
Patanjali Ayurveda apologized on Tuesday and promised not to make such a mistake again. This happened before of the Supreme Court hearing on the medical company’s false advertisements.
The Supreme Court said on Tuesday, during its hearing of the case involving misleading advertisements against Patanjali Ayurveda, Baba Ramdev, and Acharya Balkrishna, that the “Union Government must wake up to this” and take immediate action.
During the case hearing, Justice Kohli said, “I want to see the actual size of the advertisement.” The judge also asked as to how closely the apology’s size matched to the scale of its marketing.
We are just now analyzing everything. The Supreme Court said on Tuesday, “We are looking at women, babies, and children, and the Union government needs to wake up to this. No one can be taken for granted.”
What Is the Patanjali Misleading Advertising Case ?
On February 27, this year, the court issued a contempt order against Ramdev and Balkrishna for distributing false health correct commercials and prohibiting Patanjali from promoting products with unproven claims of healing maladies such as heart disease and asthma.
