Vikrant Massey discussed the release of Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s 12th Fail in China, noting that the 2023 film will be shown on more than 20,000 screens in the country.
Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s 12th Fail, starring Vikrant Massey as Manoj Kumar Sharma, an IPS officer who rose from poverty, will be released in theaters on October 27, 2023. Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, Kangana Ranaut, and Katrina Kaif all complimented the film after its OTT release. In a new interview with India Today, Vikrant said that the film will now be distributed in China.
Vikrant said it’s too early to say whether he’ll fly to China to promote 12th Fail, which co-stars Medha Shankar. He went on to say, “It is too soon to talk about that, but I am really excited because, after a long time, something like this has happened.” Previously, Aamir Khan traveled to China to promote his 2016 flick Dangal. His 2009 picture, 3 Idiots, also did well in the country.
12th Fail will be released in over 20000 screens.
Vikrant stated that the makers of 12th Fail had been working on its China release for some time. He stated that the film will be shown on over 20,000 screens in China.
He stated, “It has been in the works for a few months, but the news has now come out, and everyone is aware that the picture will be released in China. There is a high demand for Hindi or Indian movies in China. There are about 20,000 screens [awarded until the 12th Fail]. China really caters to the entertainment sector, which explains the abundance of displays.”
About 12th Fail
12th Fail, directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, is about UPSC hopefuls and is based on real-life events. The film depicts the challenges of millions of students taking the UPSC entrance exam. It tells the story of Manoj Kumar Sharma, who overcame poverty to become an IPS officer.
Based on Anurag Pathak’s novel, Vikrant is portrayed as a young Manoj from Chambal who aspires to join the police department. Medha Shankr portrays IRS official Shraddha Joshi, Manoj Kumar Sharma’s wife.
