The Bharatiya Janata Party today announced its tenth list for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Nine candidates’ names have been announced on this list. A maximum of seven candidates from Uttar Pradesh have been announced. According to the list, Jaiveer Singh of Mainpuri, Neeraj Shekhar of Ballia, BP Saroj of Machli City, Paras Nath Rai of Ghazipur, Vinod Sonkar of Kaushambi, Praveen Patel of Phulpur, and Neeraj Tripathi of Allahabad have been selected.
Paras Nath Rai of Ghazipur has been affiliated with the Sangh. He is regarded close to Manoj Sinha, despite the fact that he has never run in an election. His son Ashutosh Rai is the UP President of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha. Praveen Patel, a BJP MLA from Phulpur, previously served as a BSP MLA.
70 candidates have been announced so far in Uttar Pradesh.
The BJP has so far revealed the names of 70 candidates in Uttar Pradesh. There were 51 names on the first list and 13 on the second list, however one candidate’s ticket was amended, resulting in a total of 12 new names announced. Seven names have appeared on this list. The BJP is contesting 75 of the 80 seats in Uttar Pradesh, with its allies receiving 5 seats. The names of the five seats that have yet to be decided are Rae Bareli, Kaiserganj, Bhadohi, Firozabad, and Deoria.
Apart from these, the other two candidates are SS Ahluwalia from Asansol, West Bengal, and Sanjay Tandon from Chandigarh. SS Ahluwalia has been pitted against TMC contender Shatrughan Sinha. Pawan Singh declined to run for office in Asansol.
The BJP canceled the tickets of these MPs.
Four out of the nine names given by the BJP on Wednesday have had their tickets canceled. Candidates whose tickets have been canceled include Kesari Devi Patel of Phulpur, Rita Bahuguna Joshi of Allahabad, Virendra Singh Mast of Ballia, and Kirron Kher of Chandigarh.
